These are called Standard ISO Hot Shoe to PC Adapters. A hot shoe is a mounting point on the top of a camera to attach a flash unit. The hot shoe “adapter” attaches to the camera hot shot allowing use of an external flash and/or sync cable which attaches the Mecha Controller to the hot shoe adapter enabling control of some of the camera operations such as shutter.
These are very easy to use just slide the adapter into the camera hot shoe to convert it to a PC sync output.
We offer 3 basic types of hot shoe adapters. Differences between hot shoes:
- JJC JSC-2 This Standard ISO hot shoe adapter is made for typical cameras without a PC sync socket. It is a hot shoe for portable flashes that features a PC female outlet. It has a “hot” contact on the top, and a shoe mount socket in the bottom. This is the most popular hot shoe.
- JJC JSC-6 This hot shoe adapter is made for Sony/Maxuum and Minolta cameras without a PC sync socket. There is a PC sync female port on the side.
- JJC JSC-8 is a hot shoe adapter for portable flashes that features one PC female outlets and one 3.5mm mini phone socket. It has a “hot” contact on the top, and a shoe mount on the bottom. The shoe mount on the bottom easily slides to your camera hot shoe mount. Then you will be able to use the screw to tighten it on your camera.
The “hot” contact on the top allows you mount a flash on it. The PC female outlets and one 3.5mm mini phone socket help your camera to extend two shoe mounts for other accessories.
Now you will be able to connect more accessories to meet your different lighting needs.
Note from Manufacturer: Select JSC-2 UNLESS your camera has a hot shoe like one shown in the picture below. These types of hot shoe need the JSC-6 adapter.
